Benefits of the Ingredients
Insect protein (Black Soldier Fly Larvae - Hermetia illucens 29%): A sustainable protein source that is easily digestible and hypoallergenic. Compared to conventional meat and other insects like mealworms, Hermetia illucens has comparable or even higher digestibility of fat and protein. This means that dogs can absorb and utilize nutrients more efficiently, which is particularly beneficial for dogs with digestive problems. Insect protein is rich in essential amino acids that promote muscle growth and strengthen the immune system.
Quinoa (29%): A gluten-free pseudocereal, rich in fiber and essential amino acids, that supports digestion and provides energy. Quinoa is easily digestible and helps promote intestinal health, which is particularly beneficial for dogs with digestive problems.
Pumpkin (29%): Rich in fiber and vitamins, pumpkin helps regulate digestion and promotes a healthy gut flora. Pumpkin is known for its calming effect on the gastrointestinal tract and can help with diarrhea and constipation.
Blueberry (4.4%): An antioxidant-rich fruit that strengthens the immune system and has anti-inflammatory effects. Blueberries are rich in vitamins and minerals that contribute to overall health.
Minerals, sunflower oil, coconut oil: Essential for overall health, these ingredients support skin and coat, as well as organ and immune system function. Sunflower oil and coconut oil provide healthy fats that provide energy and have anti-inflammatory effects.
Psyllium husks (0.5%): They promote intestinal health through their ability to regulate digestion, normalize bowel movements, and prevent constipation.
Turmeric (0.3%): Turmeric is said to have anti-inflammatory properties that can be helpful in treating IBD / Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
Milk thistle seeds (0.1%): They are known for their liver-supporting properties and help with liver detoxification and regeneration. They protect liver cells and promote the production of new liver cells.
Dandelion (0.1%): Dandelion is known for its liver-supporting properties. It contains antioxidants and compounds that promote liver function and can help remove toxins from the body. This is particularly useful for dogs taking medication or needing detoxification. Due to its diuretic properties, dandelion can also support kidney function by helping to eliminate waste products more efficiently and promote kidney health.
ß-Glucans (0.1%): ß-Glucans have antioxidant properties and support overall health.
Prebiotics (FOS, MOS): Prebiotics promote a healthy gut flora by supporting the growth of beneficial bacteria.
Probiotics (1.5*10^9 CFU Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544, 3*10^9 CFU Enterococcus faecium NCIMB 10415): These gut bacteria support intestinal health by maintaining the balance of the gut flora.

Digestibility of Black Soldier Fly Hermetia illucens
A study compared Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) with poultry meal (PM) in dog food to investigate digestibility and stool consistency. BSFL or PM meal replaced approximately 30% of the dry matter of the feed. Six Beagle dogs participated in the test.
Dogs fed insect protein had higher protein digestibility (82.3%) than those fed poultry meal (80.5%). Fat digestibility was also higher in the insect diet (94.5%) compared to the poultry diet (91.6%). Both diets resulted in well-formed and firm stools.
The study shows that insect protein in dog food is a high-quality protein source and is well tolerated without negative effects on digestion and stool quality.
The University of Veterinary Veterinary medicine Hanover also confirms this investigation.

Lack of appetite: If your usually lively dog suddenly leaves its food untouched, it could be a sign of digestive problems.
Vomiting: If your loyal friend vomits frequently, it should not be taken lightly. It could indicate an underlying digestive disorder.
Flatulence: Sudden gas accumulation in the abdominal area can be painful and indicate an unbalanced gut flora.
Abdominal rumbling and colic: If your dog suffers from abdominal pain accompanied by cramps, a digestive disorder could be the cause.
Mushy stool and diarrhea: If your dog's bowel movements are unusually soft or liquid, it could indicate impaired digestion.
Watery secretions around the anus: These could indicate inflammation or infections that require careful monitoring.
Increased grass eating: A natural instinct of dogs, but it can occur excessively if there is discomfort or an unbalanced diet.
Increased eating of faeces and soil: A possible indication of nutrient deficiency or an unbalanced gut flora.
Worm infestation: Intestinal parasites can cause a variety of digestive problems.
